Do I look like I'm hanging on to dear life?

For 18 months that's the way I felt. At the beginning of 8th grade, I was diagnosed with a weird type of encephalitis that "blew away" part of my cerebellum. I couldn't walk straight, read, or write.

Maybe worst of all, I was homebound ... for a year. And for my first year in high school, I could only go back to school part time, which meant I was still partially homebound.

My sophomore year, just as I was getting back into things, I got double mono, which once again limited my school and social life.

I know what it's like to be homebound and sick. And ... not have anyone to talk to who understands.

That's why I started this site. Here is where you can connect with other homebound kids and teens and share with people who know what you are going thru.

I dedicate this site to my internet friend Uisdean ... who I met through BrainTalk.com, and was perhaps the only person who knew what I was experiencing. Thank you for sharing your path to health.
