TRANSPORTATION

Capital projects that address mass transportation and infrastructure require long term scheduling and budgeting to assure they are performed in a timely fashion.

By establishing this long term budget we are able to plan the repairs, maintenance and improvements to our roadways, bridges and public transportation. By achieving this budget we can prevent the “annual public transportation crisis.”

There has been discussion about widening Route 59 for years. It's time we get funding for that project.

EDUCATION

By law, the State is required to fund education. Currently the program does not adequately fund the needs of construction, remodeling or pay for the necessary repairs as found during the mandatory 10-year State health and safety inspections.

School Districts not only need but require an innovative tax formula; a formula that guarantees the funds will be available and utilized for our education system.

SENIORS

Many of our Seniors have needs that they are physically or financially unable to manage on their own; needs such as transportation, shopping, meals and assistance with daily living.

I look to establish teamwork that would not only consolidate resources but coordinate at the local level programs that are available to Seniors and their families, thus ending the frustration that they are experiencing today and enabling them to stay independent.
